The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been looking into alleged irregularities in the NEET UG exam. Recently, they arrested the owner of a private school in Godhra, Gujarat. In an earlier incident, the CBI arrested Ehsanul Haq, the Principal of Oasis School and NEET exam coordinator, along with Vice Principal Imtiyaz Alam and another individual in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand. They were accused of tampering with question papers. The school staff were questioned for hours regarding these allegations.

Additionally, the Special CBI Court in Patna remanded two individuals, Chintu Kumar and Mukesh Kumar, for three days in connection with the NEET question paper leak case.

Political Reactions and Parliamentary Uproar

On the political front, both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have been adjourned until July 1, 2024. This decision followed protests by the opposition, who are demanding a debate on the NEET UG 2024 issues. The uproar in Parliament was fueled by President Droupadi Murmu’s remarks during a joint session, where she emphasized the government’s commitment to a thorough investigation and strict punishment for those involved in the paper leak incidents.
