What a brilliant delivery by Boland! The ball seamed and rose sharply, striking Crawley’s thumb as it made its way to Carey behind the stumps. Crawley played a fine innings, scoring 61 runs off 73 balls, setting a positive tone for England. However, with the fall of the third wicket, I believe this session belongs to Australia.

The beginning of the series was truly captivating, filled with excitement and a hint of caution. Australia’s defensive approach received some criticism, particularly when England easily scored singles. Nevertheless, taking three wickets before lunch on a pitch that offered little assistance is a commendable achievement.

England shouldn’t be too concerned at this stage, especially since they have maintained a scoring rate of 4.65 runs per over and still have a strong batting lineup to follow. Joe Root will resume his innings on 20 not out, accompanied by the fresh-faced Harry Brook. Rest assured, the game is far from boring and promises further excitement.
