Pawan Kalyan, the youngest brother of the legendary actor Chiranjeevi and actor-producer Nagendra Babu, holds a cherished place in the Indian film industry. Born Konidela Kalyan Babu, Pawan Kalyan made his screen debut in the EVV Satyanarayana-directed action romance Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi (1996), which was an official adaptation of Aamir Khan’s Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. While this film showcased Pawan’s undeniable talent, it was the 1999 romantic comedy Tholi Prema, directed by A. Karunakaran, that truly catapulted him to stardom. This beloved film not only won over audiences but also earned critical acclaim, securing six Nandi Awards and the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu, firmly establishing Pawan Kalyan as a force to be reckoned with in the industry.

Pawan Kalyan began his political journey in 2008 as the President of Yuvarajyam, the youth wing of the Praja Rajyam Party.
