So let’s celebrate this win with a victory parade at Marine Drive & Wankhede on July 4th from 5:00 pm onwards. It’s coming home.” This message was paired with a picture of Rohit alongside teammate Suryakumar Yadav, confirming the team’s return to India after a delay caused by Hurricane Beryl in the Caribbean.

Members of the World Cup-winning team, along with their support staff and media, traveled on a charter flight from Grantley Adams International Airport. The team clinched the T20 World Cup with a thrilling seven-run victory over South Africa in the final. However, their return was delayed by three days due to Category 4 Hurricane Beryl.
Arrival in Delhi and Future Celebrations
Rohit and his team left for Delhi on an Air India special charter flight—AIC24WC, dubbed “Air India Champions 24 World Cup,” departing at 4:50 a.m. local time. They are expected to arrive in Delhi on Thursday around 6:20 a.m. (IST). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will felicitate the team upon their return.
