5.4 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Jammu and Kashmir, Sends Tremors Across North India

Reports of tremors in Delhi-NCR flooded social media as people took to Twitter to share updates and even posted memes, reminiscing about the frequent occurrence of such incidents in recent times.
This afternoon, a 5.4 magnitude earthquake jolted Jammu and Kashmir, causing tremors in Delhi and other parts of northern India. The quake occurred shortly after 1:30 pm and lasted only a few seconds, with no reports of any damages so far.
The National Center for Seismology tweeted, “An earthquake measuring Magnitude 5.4 struck at 13:33:42 IST on 13-06-2023. The epicenter was located in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, India, with coordinates Lat: 33.15 and Long: 75.82. The quake had a depth of 6 km.”
